प्रस्तुत पुस्तक की संरचना उनके लिए की गयी है जो खनन की व्यावसायिक परीक्षाओं में सफलता अर्जित करना चाहते है| खनन की लिखित और मौखिक परीक्षाओं में पूछे जाने योग्य प्रश्नों की प्रवृत्ति को ध्यान में रखते हुए विषयों और प्रश्नों के चयन में अत्यधिक सावधानी बरती गयी है| साथ ही,यह पुस्तक गुणवत्ता एवं सुरक्षा के साथ कार्य-निष्पादन हेतु व्यावहारिक संक्रियात्मक ज्ञान तथा विश्वास विकसित करेगी| वृहत रूप से खनन प्रशिक्षुओं की मदद के लिए प्रस्तुत पुस्तक हिन्दी में लिखी गयी है| इस हेतु अंग्रेजी की कई पुस्तकों से सहायता ली गयी, जैसे-बी.राम व अन्य की 'सर्फस माइनिग"" आदि| खनन क्षेत्र को समर्पित प्रो. Mr. Chand Chandna is retired as CEO mines from Bundi Silica Group of mines Bundi Rajasthan where he worked for twenty four years. He graduated from Institution of engineering and passed First Class Managers Certificate of competency (Restricted) along with surveyors certificate of competency both in opencast and underground mines separately in each. He was Recognized ROP as per IBM statute, Chartered Engineering IE (I) and Life Member of MEAI. After serving Eight years in mines and geology Department of Rajasthan, he worked in a managerial capacity at different Emerald, soap stone, feldspar, quartz and lime stone mines. There after joined as a Senior mine manager with group of Dimensional lime stone mines of associated Stone Industries (ASI) Ramganj Mandi. There he successfully introduced controlled blasting which was a challenge. At ASI mines, a group of twenty female labors were trained and mate examination of female candidate, appreciable scope of women workers for further development in mining. At Bundi silica mines Mr. Chandna introduced total wet crushing & screening and auto washing of silica sand arrest the harmful silica dust and manage skillfully water recycling and silt management which was a big challenge. He also introduced an economical and eco-friendly air deck blasting using empty west plastic water bottles or west cement begs. Mr. Chandna has invented very economical & eco-friendly system of Jackhammer wet drilling without input loss of air pressure and had credit of demos given at number of mines. He has also invented a handy gauge to guide the gradient of working, just a gauge like a railway track line man keeps. His New concept of fly rock'Danger Zone' is weighted widely and his way of controlling of seeping and mine water is a new through to manage. Mr. Chanda is a practical man from field enjoyed the mine workings for a long period of 51 years. He has on his credit the presentation of number of papers in mining seminar.
