Studies of Economy of Rajasthan is of comparatively recent origin and studied mostly after independence. Rajasthan's economy is predominantly agricultural and pastoral . The problem of finance & grought is deeply related with the economy. Poor infrastructure is the main feature of the state. To achieve better standard of living and better productivity, the health and education facilities should be improved. The development of infracture for economics activities is also a big challenge for Rajasthan. After overcoming these challenges. Rajasthan will be able to transformation into a society and economically development state. In view of all the these, the department of Economics, Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed) University, Udaipur has taken an initiative to edit a book on the focal theme "Economy of Rajasthan" (Development aspects.) All the contributions of this volume have analyzed and highlighted a number of development issues, challenges and the potentials related to the economy of Rajasthan.
