There is hardly any doubt about the fact that the success of vocational education depends much on the effective collaboration and linkage between school and industry. It should not be partial, it should be a kind of partnership between the two where both work with a common goal of developing human resources in the larger interests of the community as a whole. In other words, the purpose of developing link- age should not be confined only to provide on the job training or a few lectures by the specialists in the institutions, but should also include collaboration and cooperation right from the planning stage to the employment stage. Thus, the question of link-age should be viewed on its total involvement of the school and industry for the implementation. With this perspective in mind an investigative attempt has been made to ascertain linkage between schools and industries in vocational education at plus two stage. Certainly this book will be useful for policy makers, planners, educationists, researchers and students engaged in vocational education.
