The book is divided into 11 chapters; first three chapters are related to the oscillations covering the free oscillations of simple systems, damped oscillations, forced oscillations, free oscillations of systems with two degrees of freedom and coupled system. Fourth chapter is related to Fourier explanation of the system. Chapter five to tenth are related to waves and their motion in solid, liquid and gas columns. Ninth chapter related to the musical instrument and musical scales. Chapter eleven gives the basic ideas about acoustics.

Dr. Vimal Saraswat is presently working as Assistant Professor, Department of Physical, Bhupal Nobles' University, Udaipur. He has more than fifteen years of teaching experience. He did Ph.D. in Atmospheric Physics and M.Sc. With specialization in Chaotic and Fractal Dynamics. He is currently engaged in research work of atmospheric physics with their research students. He is life time member of Indian Association of Physics Teacher (IAPT) and Indian Aerosol Science and Technology Association (IASTA). He presented two technical papers in International and seven technical papers in national conferences and seminars. Also he has written 22 books on different branches of Physics and Mathematics.
