This book is designed to help students preparing for the verbal sections of many assessment and entrance exams. By pr acting the contents given in this book, they will enrich their vocabulary and refine the knowledge of useful words. We have given Latin maxims with possible Hindi meanings; which may not be suitable for legal purpose but the students must take this book as a practice materials. They must try to practice the legal terms, one word substitution, report, letters, synonyms, antonyms, and applications in order to get better grasp in their usage. It will encourage the students to think on their own. The principal aim of this book, therefore, is to help the students towards a thorough understanding of the theory and towards a sound application of this theory into practice.

Dr. Abrar Ahmed, Lecture, Dept. of English, Vidya Bhawan Rural Institute (affiliated to M.L.S.U.), Udaipur has completed his education from St. Paul's Convent and J.R.N. Univeristy. Udaipur. He teaches U.G. and P.G. courses. He has also engaged P.G. classes at J.R.N. (Deemed) University for four years as a visiting faculty and at present three P.G. (research) scholars are working under his supervision. His areas of interest in teaching including English Literature, Poetry, Grammar, Compositito , E.L.T. and E.S.P. He has five - years teaching papers in a number of National/ International Seminars/ Conferences/ Journals. For his credit, he has a master in English Literature (Gold Medalist), an M.Phil (E.L.T.) (Gold Medalist) and Ph.D. (English Language Teaching) and D.H.N. At present, he is working on his next book with Dr. Raksha Godawat. Dr. Raksha Godawat, Lecture, Dept. of Hindi, Vidhya Bhawan Rural Institute (affiliated to M.L.S.U.) Udaipur is a scholar from M.L.S.U. University. For her credit, she has an M.A. in Hindi Literature and has obtained her Ph.D. in 2013 from M.L.S.U. University, Udaipur. The doctorate research is published in the form od an excellent book named Dinesh Paliwal ke Katha Sahitya me Samajik aur Rajnetik Chaitna. She has two - yera teaching experience in teaching U.G. classes. She has attended and presented papers in more than nine National and International Conference. Her area of interest in teaching includes Hindi Literature and Prose analysis. At present she is working on her next book with Dr. Abrar Ahmed
