Dr. Pramila Kumari Sharma is an esteemed academician and researcher specializing in Agricultural, Population, and Physical Geography. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) in the Department of Geography at Government PG College, Jhalawar, affiliated with the University of Kota.

Dr. Sharma earned her Ph.D. in Geography from Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, in 2017. Her doctoral thesis, titled “Spatial Variation in Food Crops Productivity in Southern Rajasthan (1981-2011), “serves as the foundational research for this volume. A scholar of exceptional merit, she qualified for the State Eligibility Test (SET) in 2011 and 2012, and achieved the distinction of qualifying for the National Eligibility Test (NET) and being awarded the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF-NET)

With over eight years of teaching experience, Dr. Sharma has held permanent faculty positions at S.C. Bose Government College, Kapasan, and Government PG College, Jhalawar.

Dr. Sharma is a prolific contributor to geographic literature, with numerous research papers published in prestigious journals such as the Geographical Review of India, The Indian Geographical Journal, and The Deccan Geographer

She is actively involved in the global and national geographic community as a Life Member of:

• The Indian Geographical Society, Chennai.
• The Rajasthan Geographical Association, Bhilwara.
• The Geographical Society of India, Kolkata.

Dr. Sharma continues to bridge the gap between academic research and practical geographic applications through her participation in Faculty Development Programmes conducted by institutions like ISRO and the University of Delhi.
