Practical manual on “Irrigation Water Management” is deal with the practical as well theoretical approaches of irrigation water management practices. The purpose of this manual to discuss the practical application and implementation of irrigation water management practices with very easy manner. This manual involves several chapters’ viz. irrigation methods and estimation of irrigation efficiency, determination of field capacity, determination of infiltration rate and evapotranspiration, estimation of soil moisture constant, measurement of irrigation water, irrigation scheduling and planning and some numerical problems of related exercise. This manual provides the practicals knowledge of water management practices and also highlights the scope of irrigation water management in India.
A Since effort has been made to give a broader understanding of irrigation water management and other related practices and issues, which are locally and globally concern as well. In this manual, attention has been put on the various aspects of irrigation water management, and attempts have been made to gather and compile new practical concepts of water management into a brief literature that would be highly approachable to UG and PG students. This manual is also helpful to the teachers as well as researchers working in the field of irrigation water management.

Dr. Rajiv Dubey is working as Assistant Professor (Agronomy) at R.V.S.K.V.V., K.N.K. College of Horticulture, Mandsaur (M.P.). He did his B.Sc. (Ag) and M.Sc. (Agronomy) from JNKVV, Jabalpur (M.P.) during year 2006 and 2008, respectively. He acquired Doctorate from GBPUA &T, Pantnagar (U.K.). He received Best M.Sc. Thesis Award (2009-10) by Indian Society of Weed Science, Jabalpur and Young Scientist Award (2012) by Uttarakhand Council of Science & Technology, Dehradun for best Ph.D. research work. He qualified ICAR-NET (Agronomy) in 2010. He is also a life time member of Indian Society of weed Science, Jabalpur. He has participated and presented papers in various National and International conferences, seminars, symposia, workshops and congress held in India. He has been associated with extension activities, professional societies and published research papers in reputed national and international journals and technical articles in reputed agricultural magazines.
Dr. K.K. Yadav is working as Associate Professor (Soil Science) in All India Coordinated Research Project on Irrigation Water Management, Department of soil and Water Engineering, College of Technology and Engineering, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India since last 16 years . He is graduate in Agriculture, Post Graduate and Ph.D. in soil Science from Rajasthan Agriculture University (now Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University), Bikaner. He has published one book, five book chapter, and more than 50 popular articles in wide circulating agricultural magazines and more than 75 research papers in national and international repute journals.
Er. Vinay Kumar Gautam is a Ph.D. Scholar (Soil and Water Conservation Engineering) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at college of Technology and Engineering, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur (Raj.) He has completed M.Tech (SWE) from JNKVV, Jabalpur (M.P.) in 2018 and B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering) from MGCGVV, Chitrakoot (M.P.) in 2016. He has been qualified the Junior Research Fellowship (ICAR-JRF) in 2016. He is also ICAR-NET 2019 Qualified. He has also resented the research papers in many national and international seminars, conferences and completed training on Soil and Water Conservation Engineering, Irrigation Engineering and Groundwater Engineering. He is the author of “Practical Manual on Introductory Soil and water Conservation Engineering” and Textbook of Soil and water Conservation.”
